Come monsoons, apart from the beautiful fresh greens that adorn the nature all around us, is also the time to witness the once in a year, Fireflies Dance Phenomenon. Now for a layman, Fireflies are basically insects which display the bio-luminescence character!! They actually throw out fluorescent green light from the body to attract their mate. This phenomenon of natural lighting is so mesmerising that at times one can experience thousands of fireflies flashing the light which is one of the best natural sights to behold. And well if you love to experiment night photography especially the Fireflies well then truly this one has to be on that bucket list.
This experience is hosted at our village Naturalist’s house in order to ensure community interactions and local employment. A must see location which is endowed with many traveler assets and an ideal place to explore the nature’s splendour. Experience the madd monsoons midst the unsullied atmosphere which we assure will have the have the power to console the carcass and the mind.
By Road: Access the Asangaon- Igatpuri- Nasik Highway, Vasind is a station just before Asangaon, take a right turn from the highway and cross over the subway at Vasind drive for about 2 Kms and take a left towards Utkarsh University. The map coordinates shall be shared with you 12 hrs prior to arrival.
By Train: Board the Asangaon or Kasara local from Dadar or CST and get off at the Vasind station. Get off the station and we will arrange transportation as per group size to our campsite. Rickshaws charge at Rs. 100 – 150 per trip (1-5 People).
1600 Hrs Check in, Experience Orientation
1630 Hrs Enjoy one of the many Natural Streams to understand the topography, local fishing methods and of course you can even enjoy a dip. You will be accompanied with our local naturalist.
1830 Hrs Return to Camp, Freshen up, Relax
1900 Hrs Head out for our unique Fireflies Walk and watch this gorgeous bioluminescent mating dance of the rare synchronous firefly. It peaks for just a few nights a year in most places.
2000 Hrs Head back, Freshen up and trip ends with countless memories.
PS: The itinerary timelines shall be strictly followed. Ensure you arrive in time to complete the full schedule. The timings may fluctuate and are subject to change slightly in case of unavoidable circumstances including weather restrictions.

The Fireflies Experience (Ages 5 & Above) : Rs. 1000/- + 5% GST per head
BBQ Dinners (Adults/Kids): Rs. 600/Rs. 400 + 5% GST Per head
PS: Adults would be 8 and above and Kids would be 5 – 8 Yrs, BBQ Dinners are optional and would need to be informed 24 hrs in advance
iTravel Journeys is a trademark brand under M/s RAV Travels LLP and all payments to be done in favour of M/s RAV Travels LLP.
An advance of 50% would be required towards confirmation of the trip and the balance to be cleared 24 hours before departure.
Payments to be received in full before the start of the event, verbal confirmations will not be considered as a “yes”.
The locations that iTravel caters too are usually eco sensitive and we would expect participants to equally take care of the same.
Since this experience is more focused on the nature around us, things would be quite different hence we request you to set your expectations accordingly.
Liquor would be strictly not permitted alongside other intoxicants. Any participant caught with or indulging in any other forms of intoxication would be immediately asked to vacate the premises.
All forms of Plastic are strictly not allowed and we request you to kindly take all the dry garbage back with you once the camp is over.
Additional snacks if required by the participants need to be carried accordingly. We would request you to carry all the dry waste back with you to avoid littering around.
All photographs would be published via our social network group pages and we do not charge additional for any pictures, unless some special requirements.
Our tour leaders are well versed with the routes and the locations and all instructions provided are in the benefit of the participant’s safety and wellbeing. Hence we request you to follow all instructions and the tour leader’s word would be final.
